B.Sc. in Computer Science - Batch of 2025

The great VIT - Proud of Vellore.
Placements:  In B.Sc., placements are average, with only 25 to 35 percent of students getting placed. The highest salary was 5 LPA, and the lowest salary was 2.5 LPA. Top companies include Deloitte, TCS, and CTS. Only one student did an internship at a startup. Top roles are full-stack development and data analysis.
Infrastructure: The facilities are excellent. We have Wi-Fi, smart boards, and good lab facilities with enough computers. The infrastructure is great. The quality of food is good and tastes nice. There’s a clinic inside, and sports equipment like volleyball and basketball are available.
Faculty: Teachers are very interactive with students, and their teaching is easy to understand. The curriculum is very focused on placements, jobs, and the industry sector. Semester exams are not too hard; only a few students in the batch fail.
Other: I chose B.Sc. because I want to do government jobs since it’s a 3-year course, but I learned a lot in this program. I think everything in my college is good, and there’s nothing to improve. The extracurricular activities are excellent, scholarships are offered, the campus surrounding are good and have enough facilities, and events like Riviera, are such a big event. In my college, many events are conducted by many clubs.

It is the best and most lovely college for education.
Placements: The Tata group will hire a higher number of people, and 99% of students got placed in my course. The internship opportunities will be provided by external companies. I don't know all the companies, but major ones like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, and Mahindra will be visiting, and prominent companies can be seen at our college.
Infrastructure: The facilities are very good, and the infrastructure is amazing. Wi-Fi will be available only in hostels for 18 hours. Labs are good, and the library is the biggest attraction of my college. The food is good, and you can expect good facilities overall. There is a hospital on campus, but it is quite expensive.
Faculty: The teaching quality is okay, but you have to study more. The pass percentage depends on the faculty. There is an option to choose your faculty. The semester exams are divided into three parts: CAT 1, CAT 2, and final. CAT 1 and 2 are like midterms, while the final is like the semester exam.
Other: This course is the best and most trending. It will be useful in the future. It has already improved significantly. Events are not bad, but once a year, the biggest fest takes place, which is awesome.

With good placements, flexibility and infrastructure .
Placements: I could say compared last 2 years placements are kept on increasing in number top companies visit every year and also the main positive is that there are so many clubs that u learn from and more to explore for the new things, choice of selecting the faculty members of our own and many more facilities that a student should get and one negative is that too much crowded.
Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms hostles with the faculty members of AC and Non AC in option with num of beds. All are with top quality and Mess also there are a lot of options with Non veg, non veg and special mess ( with extra juices and all )that is optional we can choose.
Faculty: Teachers are with top class and knowledgeable and the quality of teaching is first class and they are very friendly and helpful and ciricullam is quite acceptable when it comes to exams I would say there are cat1 and cat2 which is open book so that we try to learn the concept in depth rather by hearting the process and pass percentage is 50%.

4Placements5Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
It is absolutely the best university in India with a QS ranking of 21 (Southern Asia).
Placements: Placements for students in the agriculture department are comparatively less. The highest package is 5 LPA. Internship offers provided by our department are very useful as all of us did internships in national institutes, fertilizer companies, startups, etc.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities on the Vellore campus are extraordinary. It provides Wi-Fi, multiple mess facilities, a 24-hour ambulance facility, and a hospital inside the campus. Students are encouraged and trained to participate in national and international sports and competitions.
Faculty: Teachers are well-experienced and are from various states. VIT has an open-book test too which helps students to score marks before their final test. VIT provides a student with an abroad program where students can complete their one semester in any university abroad.
Other: VIT offers courses and programs and has ICAR accreditation too. Agriculture is one best options to choose from because they cultivate various crops. It also has a livestock, poultry unit, mushroom unit, botanical garden, and vermicompost unit where classes happen in fields and in the unit.

A well-rounded college experience with great infrastructure and opportunities.
Placements: While exact percentages per course are not publicly displayed, the placement outcomes are as follows, CSE received over 4000 offers with the highest CTC being 1.02 CR and an average CTC of 9 to 10 LPA. IT secured 1800+ offers with the highest CTC of 80 LPA and an average of 7 to 8 LPA, ECE saw 2500+ offers with the highest CTC at 30 LPA and an average of 6 to 7 LPA, and EEE had 1500+ offers with the highest CTC of 30 LPA and an average of 6 to 7 LPA. Overall, 7142 students were placed, with the highest package being 88 LPA, the average package at 9.9 LPA, and the minimum package at 3.5 LPA, with 820 companies visiting the campus and making 3323 Super Dream offers and 3138 Dream offers.
Infrastructure: Hostels are good, every hostel has super good Wi-Fi. Food quality is also good, with so many varieties for both veg and non-veg. Room options include single, double, triple, four, and six sharing, with both AC and non-AC choices. Rooms are decently furnished with bedsheets, study tables, and wardrobes. Each department has well-maintained labs with updated systems and software. VIT has a medical center, which is available 24/7 with basic diagnostic tools, doctors, and an ambulance for emergencies.
Faculty: Faculty at VIT is well-qualified, with many holding PhDs and having industry A-list experience. Most teachers are helpful, approachable, and knowledgeable in their subjects. They use digital tools, real-life examples, and project-based learning to make classes interactive. However, teaching quality can vary slightly depending on the department and individual professors.
Other: Best thing about the courses is FFCS (Flexible Credit System), which allows students to select their subjects and faculty. Project-based learning, hackathons, and collaboration opportunities prepare students for real-world challenges. VIT conducts a fest every semester, for example, Riviera is the annual cultural fest and Gravitas is the technical fest, featuring workshops.

VIT Vellore - The most honest review.
Placements: VIT Vellore offers decent placements, especially for CS and IT branches, with top companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and TCS recruiting. The average packages vary by branch, but tech roles get higher offers. Mass recruiters are common, so competition is high. Placements are good for tech fields.
Infrastructure: The course curriculum at VIT Vellore is decent, with flexibility in choosing subjects, but some feel it lacks depth. Hostel quality varies. Some are well-maintained, but most lack proper facilities and upkeep. The maintenance is bad.
Faculty: Exams are rigged, and teachers are racist. Exam evaluation feels consistent, raising concerns about fairness. Some students report biases in teaching and grading. The administration should address these issues to ensure a better academic environment for all.
Other: Campus life at VIT Vellore feels restricted due to strict rules. The administration enforces curfews and limits student freedom. It has heavy surveillance and PDA regulations that add to the controlled environment, making it less vibrant compared to other universities.
