Great infrastructure, supportive teachers, and strong placement opportunities at VIT Vellore.
Placements: B.Sc. CS student at VIT Vellore (2023-2026) with strong placement statistics. 90% of students got placed. The highest package is 1.02 crore. The average salary is 9.23 LPA. The lowest salary is 3 LPA. Top recruiters include Microsoft, Amazon, and Infosys. Internship roles are offered in AI, web developer, and data analytics.
Infrastructure: VIT offers Wi-Fi-enabled, smart classrooms, advanced computer labs, a vast digital library, and 24/7 access to resources. Hostels are clean with good amenities. Mess food is decent with variety. We have excellent medical care. Sports facilities are there. Indoor/outdoor games are also available.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. The curriculum is industry-relevant with updated teaching topics, making students job-ready. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty with a pass percentage of around 85-90%, ensuring steady academic success.
Other: I am from the 2023-2026 B.Sc. computer science batch at VIT Vellore. I chose this course due to my interest in programming, AI, and problem-solving. The best parts are the practical learning approach, diverse electives, and strong placement support. I wish the course had more live projects and research exposure. VIT hosts vibrant events like Riviera and Gravitas. It has a diverse and inclusive campus crowd, strong Wi-Fi, transport connectivity, and is surrounded by peaceful greenery. Scholarships are merit-based and helpful. There are plenty of clubs and extracurricular activities that promote holistic student development and keep campus life energetic and engaging.

The real experience at VIT Vellore.
Placements: When it comes to placements at VIT Vellore for the 2024-2025 academic year, the highest placement recorded is 1.2 crore. But, not everyone will get a 1 crore package. If you maintain a CGPA of more than 9 and have perfect skills, you can easily expect a decent package. Overall, placements are good, but VIT is overcrowded, and you have to survive on your own in the crowd.
Infrastructure: VIT Vellore has basically having of seven academic blocks with cool infrastructure. PRP, which is one of the academic blocks, is the largest academic block in India. The VIT Vellore hostels offer four types of accommodations AC, Non-AC, Deluxe, and Apartment, and the fee are charged according to the hostel you chose.
Faculty: VIT Vellore provides FFCS Fully Flexible Credit System, where you can select your own class timetable and faculty members. VIT Vellore has basically two schedules one is morning theory theory classes are in the morning, and labs are in the evening, and the second is evening theory theory classes are in the evening, and labs are also in the evening. Students can select according to their wish.
Other: The only thing I regret about VIT is that it is very overcrowded. Remain all aspects, VIT is very good the management of both academics and residential is very good. There are two major fests at VIT GRAVITAS a technical fest and RIVERA a cultural fest. Both are conducted over the course of one week. Many sub-events and hackathons are registered under the main events.

With good placements, flexibility and infrastructure .
Placements: I could say compared last 2 years placements are kept on increasing in number top companies visit every year and also the main positive is that there are so many clubs that u learn from and more to explore for the new things, choice of selecting the faculty members of our own and many more facilities that a student should get and one negative is that too much crowded.
Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms hostles with the faculty members of AC and Non AC in option with num of beds. All are with top quality and Mess also there are a lot of options with Non veg, non veg and special mess ( with extra juices and all )that is optional we can choose.
Faculty: Teachers are with top class and knowledgeable and the quality of teaching is first class and they are very friendly and helpful and ciricullam is quite acceptable when it comes to exams I would say there are cat1 and cat2 which is open book so that we try to learn the concept in depth rather by hearting the process and pass percentage is 50%.

I love the college life they provide me with, amazing placements, and entertaining campus facilities
Placements: Around 78% of passed-out students who opted for placements were all placed at excellent companies with great packages. The highest package offered by our college is 1.5 crore, while the lowest stands at 20,000. Most students begin their internships starting in their second year.
Infrastructure: Each department has its academic building with specialized equipment and labs, all are embedded with campus Wi-Fi. In between all the scenic blocks. We have a medical clinic as well to aid the students with any clinical help needed. We also have canteens and cafeterias in walking distance from the academic blocks.
Faculty: Teachers and professors are qualified. They are very knowledgeable and available full-time for any queries as such. They give detailed lectures and make sure to make students understand it in depth. They provide us with the necessary materials for preparations as well.
Other: I chose biotechnology as it is one of the growing sectors with wider job opportunities and openings. It gives both hands-on knowledge and work experience.

It's good, you will have to put in effort to stand out. Competition is hard and you are not alone.
Placements: In the B. Des, Industrial Design at VIT Vellore, I can't really say what the placements are because there are hardly any. Honesty, it depends on your portfolio and is gradually improving as the course gains more visibility. If you approach a company and have a good portfolio. You can get a 10 LPA - 12 LPA starting package.
Infrastructure: Hostels are fine. But as there are around more than 40,000 people living in hostels, it's too crowded. Though the facilities are good. Again, because of the traffic (crowd) Wi-Fi is mostly bad in hostels. Labs and classes are well-equipped. We have a lovely library. It won't really bother you. It's good than most of the other college hostels.
Faculty: Faculty members are overall very nice. Except for this one professor who is taking 2 of the subjects in my first year, design thinking and methodology, and materials and processes, respectively. Other than that, all the subjects are actually good and helpful. The software, you will have to learn on your own. No college is going to sit and teach you step by step.
Other: The best thing about this course is that I get to explore. I am doing this because I wanted to do this, no one forced me and I love this basically. Next is crowd, it is bad and very crowded. But if you can adjust to it, good for you. Also, there are only 2 fests per year, Gravitas (in September) and Riviera (January around).

VIT Vellore - The most honest review.
Placements: VIT Vellore offers decent placements, especially for CS and IT branches, with top companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and TCS recruiting. The average packages vary by branch, but tech roles get higher offers. Mass recruiters are common, so competition is high. Placements are good for tech fields.
Infrastructure: The course curriculum at VIT Vellore is decent, with flexibility in choosing subjects, but some feel it lacks depth. Hostel quality varies. Some are well-maintained, but most lack proper facilities and upkeep. The maintenance is bad.
Faculty: Exams are rigged, and teachers are racist. Exam evaluation feels consistent, raising concerns about fairness. Some students report biases in teaching and grading. The administration should address these issues to ensure a better academic environment for all.
Other: Campus life at VIT Vellore feels restricted due to strict rules. The administration enforces curfews and limits student freedom. It has heavy surveillance and PDA regulations that add to the controlled environment, making it less vibrant compared to other universities.
