Review of Vellore Institute of Technology.
Placements: Vellore Institute of Technology is one of the most reputed colleges in Tamil Nadu. The placement opportunities are excellent. They have amazing placement yearly records. The highest salary package is 25 LPA and the average salary package is around 7.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is top-notch. The college campus has all the amenities. The college campus surroundings are kept neat and clean every time. The hostel also has all the facilities. The canteen, library, seminar halls, laboratories, etc. are well maintained.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and talented in their respective fields. The teaching quality of the faculty members was awesome. The course subjects are related to the field but apart from that, we have to gain knowledge to survive in the field. The semester exams are easy if we prepare well.

My view on VIT Vellore campus.
Placements: Course placement is determined by the VITEEE exam rank. To get placed in my course, the student rank should be below one lacs; the highest in our course is 1.4 cr; the least package is three lacs; and the average package is about six lacs. The top recruiters in our course are Ford and other companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college campus is very good and the infrastructure of the main block is very advanced. Unlimited Wi-Fi is available all over the campus, and the library contains all types of books, novels and research articles. The quality of hostels is good; the more money you pay, the more comfort you will get in hostels.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful and they are well-qualified teachers who help us when we are doing projects. Yes, this course curriculum is very much relevant and it makes us want to work in industry. Semester exams are conducted very tough and very strictly. The pass percentage for passing the course is to get a minimum of 40 marks in the fat exam.

VIT: A good CGPA, good grades and good coding skills will get you a good placement!
Placements: The placement record of VIT is good. 85% of students get placed in decent companies and firms. The highest package offered till date is 1.02 crore by Motorq and the average package offered is 8 LPA. If you maintain a decent CGPA and are strong in coding, then you can easily grab an 8 LPA+ package. The lowest package offered is 3.5 LPA, but as long as you maintain a CGPA, you should be able to grab a package above 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies visited every year are Microsoft, Google, the Big 4 companies, and many others. The percentage of students grabbing internships is 20%. The number of companies that visit VIT for internships is around 150. The top roles offered in the placements and internships are SDE/SDE intern, Consultant, Testing Engineer/Intern, etc.
Infrastructure: The theory classes are conducted in SJT/TT/MGB/MB theory classes, whereas the lab classes are conducted in SJT lab classes. The lab classes and hostel rooms are equipped with AC and Wi-Fi connections. The library at VIT has plenty of journals, storybooks, and reference books that can be issued before your exams. (YES, there is a competition for that as well, because you need to be really fast if you want the best books.) The hostels provided are 1 bed, 2 beds, 3 beds (G/H block), 4 beds, and 6 beds. For rooms, there is a lot of competition because of the crowd so make sure you have a 9-pointer friend with a 9+ CGPA for hostel counseling. The hostel rooms are AC or non-AC, depending on what you choose. The mess caterers in the girls hostel are Sakthi, Darling and Neelkesh. The mess is of three types: special, veg, and non-veg. Darling is the best for every kind of vegetable, whether non-beg or special. Sakthi is decent, and Neelkesh is probably the worst, in my opinion.
Faculty: As far as I feel, the teachers are pretty decent with relevant qualifications, most of them are pretty chill, and almost every teacher has a Ph.D. degree. But we have to be careful while choosing teachers, as some teachers may teach well but may be really bad at marking. Some teachers are the best at giving marks but they don't really teach well. I think they should be given a higher priority than teachers who allot decent marks because, at the end, teaching hardly matters and all we need is a good CGPA and I cannot stress enough the importance of maintaining a good CGPA at this university. The course curriculum contains every course that is required for the students to get ready for internships and placements, especially Data Structures and Algorithms, be they CS or non-CS students.
Other: The campus crowd adds to the cons of the college; it is just too much. As a result, competition is also high. Seniors are friendly here and will help you get reviews on faculty members and courses in your respective semesters. I chose the course because it is the best for an engineering background and for a decent placement and VIT provides ample guidance and materials for the placement procedure. There are 2 fests, mainly in VIT Vellore-Riverside, the cultural festival where you can expect top pop singer and actors from India, along with several other fun activities (Everything is paid though) Gravitas is the technical fest where several hackathons are conducted along with the invitation of a YouTuber. The campus is a pollution-free one with lots of greenery (A stroll in the morning will be therapeutic) There are 150+ clubs and chapters associated with VIT Vellore, including areas of Dance, Dramatics, Technology, Robotics, Astrophysics, Animation, Otaku (Anime), trekking, Engineering, etc. They are really helpful for stepping yourself out of your comfort zone and building confidence and exposure.

Exploring academic excellence : A journey through VIT Vellore.
Placements: There are many students who get placed; around 90% of students get placed. The highest package is INR 1 crore and the lowest is INR 4 lacs. The average salary is INR 7 to 8 lacs. Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Flipkart and many more are top recruiters in our course. 75% of students get internships, and the other 25% do projects instead of internships. The top roles are software developers.
Infrastructure: We have classrooms with projectors and an attendance scanner. We are provided with AC in the labs. We have a G+3-story building for the library, with many books available for academics and other storybooks as well. We have Wi-Fi facilities in hostels until midnight. The quality of the food is good. The medical facility is fine. Sports facilities are amazing.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and very supportive. Teaching quality is top-notch. The course is also good. Yes, it makes students ready for industry. Semester exams are a bit challenging as you have to study the whole syllabus for the final exam but it is doable.
Other: The course is the most demanded so I chose it. The fests and all the extras are amazing compared to any other college. The only problem is the crowd on campus. There are a lot of students. Campus surroundings are good, as many movie halls and restaurants came there to make business with the help of students.

Good college in terms of courses, teaching, infrastructure, and facilities.
Placements: Till November 2023, about 2500 students got offers out of 6,000 people from all 4 campuses. The highest package is 90 lakhs by MotorQ startup. The average package is around 7 lacs. Most of the companies gave an internship+full-time offer. Some companies only give full-time offers. The top roles they are offering are SDE, Analyst, Consultant, etc. Packages are divided into five categories. Slot1 (25 lakh+), Super Dream (9 lakh+), Dream (5 lakh+), Regular (3-5 lakhs).
Infrastructure: Hostels, labs and libraries have Wi-Fi facilities. Academic buildings have network jammers. There is no Wi-Fi in academic buildings. Hostels are fine. Some hostels have the facility of apartment-type rooms, where four rooms have shared bathrooms. Mess food is average. Most of the time, you will get South Indian food. We have more than 3–4 canteens inside campus.
Faculty: If enrolled in specialization courses, then from the 3rd year onwards, you will get courses related to specializations only. More focus on research and publishing research papers. Curriculum courses are up-to-date. In one semester, you have three exams. CAT1, CAT2, and FAT. In total, you have to complete around 150–160 credit courses in 4 years.
Other: As per the trend in technology, I chose CSE. The campus crowd is above the limit. The university has around 40K people, including faculty members, staff members, security guards and workers. Campus is greenary and well maintained. The college has many clubs for extracurricular activities. The nearest train station is Katpadi. The nearest airports are in Chennai and Bangalore.
