 Eligibility for registration with the Oman Society Of Engineers (OSE) using a "Professional Graduate Programmme" in civil engineering from IIMTS is uncertain, and likely not directly eligible for professional engineer status based on search results.

  • Crucially, IIMTS states it "does not provide UGC, AICTE, or DEB-regulated degree programs" but delivers courses accredited by UK-based regulated awarding organizations. This suggests it is not a conventional university degree recognised by standard government accreditation bodies in India (UGC, AICTE), which are typically required for professional registration in the Middle East.
  • The programme appears to focus on "Recognition of Prior Learning" (RPL) and skill development rather than a traditional, accredited engineering degree.
• Verification and Recognition: For registration, the degree must be attested by home country authorities and then by Omani authorities. The lack of standard national accreditation (like UGC/AICTE) may pose significant challenges during this verification and attestation process.
• Mandatory Standards: The OSE is implementing stringent qualification standards to ensure only highly qualified engineers work in Oman, which includes ensuring qualifications are from recognised and accredited programs.
