And it's of course not possible to pursue a degree course again and again, but you can any day upskill yourself with these short-term diplomas and certifications to keep your relevance in the market.

Diplomas and Certifications in any field are a way to upgrade yourself with the knowledge and skills required in a specific area.

Well, for a top BTech in Civil Engineering college in India, you'll probably need to appear and score well in an entrance exam. The same goes for an MTEch in Civil Engineering. But you still have chances to get admission to a Diploma or certification course in Civil Engineering without any entrance exam.

With a TNEA rank of 12,648 and a cutoff of 174 for Civil Engineering at Thiagarajar College of Engineering, your chances are very low.

  • The cutoff rank is much better (lower) than your rank.

  • You may not get Civil Engineering in this college through counselling.

  • Consider other branches or other colleges with higher cutoff ranks as backup options.

In GATE Civil Engineering counselling, seat allocation priority is: Institute preference → Category/reservation → GATE score → Branch preference → Counselling round. Fill choices carefully, as allotment depends mainly on score, rank, and reservation.
