Your cut-off matters. According to your cut off department may vary .Each department has its minimum cutoff marks .If you have 170+ cut-off it's easy to join CSE department.

It depends on your caste as there are seats reserved based on categories.
Generally, the cut-off for general category is around 183-184 while for the SC, ST the cut-off will be around 100.
For BC, it will be around 175, MBC-165
