The cutoffs will be based on the following factors: The JEE Advanced score of the candidate, the category of the candidate, the number of seats available in the course. No, a hostel is not compulsory at IIT Gandhinagar for M.Tech students. However, the college's hostel is very good. Currently, the college has eight hostels. The campus hostels are air-conditioned and have well-furnished rooms. The academic area is just a short distance from the hostels. The student hostels are largely Wi-Fi enabled.

No, it is not compulsory for various course students to stay in the hostel while pursuing B.Tech programmes from Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar). Students can willingly stay at the hostel, IIT Gandhinagar has eight centrally air-conditioned hostel buildings. All of these hostels are largely managed by students through the hostel maintenance committee. These hostels offer a number of facilities to students including convenience shops and various eateries, a mini library with a big reading room, music room, common rooms, art room, sports courts, and others.
