No, it's not possible for you to get a degree before you clear all your backlogs. You should clear all the subject exams in a stipulated time mentioned by the university. Once you clear them successfully you will get your degree.

Hello Subbu Krishna, aah. I can understand your angst and the anxiety about selection of mist suitable course. It's of course the right thing to do. Coming to these two courses at two different IIT's, I feel that the one in Guwahati may encompass more areas and hence you will gain knowledge in these areas. Hence I would like to recommend this course. However other course is not bad. It's good too. Best wishes to you.

Candidates from the Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as subjects are eligible to apply to all the four institutes. Candidates from any other stream (Science without Maths or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible to apply to IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad and IIITDM Jabalpur. So from above Candidates of 12th with Commerce stream are eligible for IIT-B, IIT-H and IIITDM Jabalpur only.
