IIT Guwahati scholarships are awarded to meritorious and talented undergraduate and postgraduate students. These scholarships are divided into three categories namely-Institute Scholarships, Other Scholarships and Assistantships. Any one of the IIT Guwahati scholarships can be availed by eligible students.
Institute scholarships: IIT Guwahati offers three types of institute scholarships for its graduate/ postgraduate students. Tabulated below are details on types of institute scholarships and awards:

Any one of the IIT Guwahati scholarships can be availed by eligible students. IIT Guwahati offers three types of institute scholarships for its graduate/ postgraduate students.
The tuition fee for the residential Master of Design (MDes) programme offered at IIT Guwahati is INR 20,000. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories are exempted from payment of tuition fees. Moreover, the total course fee will be higher and include other components such as hostel fee, admission fee, caution money deposit, etc. Further, it must be noted that the given fee is as per unofficial sources and hence is indicative.
The total tuition fee for M.Tech ranges between INR 1.1 Lacs - INR 1.7 lakh for Regular/QIP Students/Self-financed/Sponsored Students (Part-time/Full-time) who are serving as Teachers. Candidates under M.Tech Students (Studentship) category must have valid GATE score in admissible examination paper.
