if you belong to sc /st category then your category rank is below 100 and you will get good iit with decent branch . one of my friend score 150 in jee adv. get electrical engineering at IIT kanpur . for open i can't give information .

You should also look out for some best alternate universities like BITS, SRM, Lovely Professional University etc which stand on the same notes of quality education.
