No, IIT Madras BTech admission is only based on candidates' performance in JEE Maine exam, followed by the counselling round. JEE Main is also an eligibility test for JEE Advanced, which is conducted for admission to IITs. For IIT Madras MTech admission, candidates need to qualify GATE entrance exam. IIT Madras only admits GATE-qualified students for this course. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or GATE is an online national-level examination conducted for admission to Master of Engineering (ME) and Masters in Technology (MTech) courses, among others. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur will conduct the GATE 2024 exam. Candidates seeking admission to IIT Madras M.Tech course must appear for GATE exam which will be held between February 3, 2024 and February 11, 2024.

IIT Madras MBA admission is based on candidates' performance in CAT, conducted by IIMs. Students seeking admission can apply online by visiting the official website of CAT. The final admission is granted on the basis of CAT score, past academic record, work experience, performance in PI round, academic diversity, gender diversity and other achievements (if any). Apart from all these, for IIT Madras MBA admission, candidates also need to fulfil the minimum eligibility requirement.

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for Integrated BTech + M.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering at IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology other than General category were - 1957 for OBC, 836 for SC and 966 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

For 2022, cut off was 3881 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering in IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 8042 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.
