Both institutes are best private design colleges in Mumbai and both of the institute are affiliated with private universities but offers different specialisation in B.Des. courses.NMIMS School of Design offers B.Des programme in Humanising Technology and there are only 30 seats. While ITM Institute has B.Des in four specialisations like in VFX and Animation and total intake is 120 students annually. Both institutes are top tear colleges and placements are 100% and average packages are good. So, which college is best it depends on specialisation that you want. There are many courses offered by university in same Mumbai campus so the expopsure of students and diversity in campus is high. Student crowd is great in campus and University offer best facility for students so that they can explore there interest in sports, music and arts. NMIMS students has get exposure of different interests and nationalities, there are many international students too in campus. Overall campus life is best in NMIMS like any International University.

No, there are no direct admissions in NMIMS School of Design. For admission in institute of NMIMS School of Design you need valid score and merit in NMIMS-DAT above 80 percentile and 60% aggregate in HSC are required to get selected. After passing studio test and interview round student get selected in NMIMS-SOD and also candidate have to performed well because college have very limited seats available for courses around 30 seats and college fees is around 17.8 lakh. Candidate can check admission, eligibility criteria and upcoming updates of course on shiksha.com or college official website (design.nmims.edu).

In NMIMS School of Design, Mumbai is famous college for its B.Des. Program and college takes admissions on the basis of entrance test. All Admission to B.Des. (Humanising Technology) is through NMIMS- Design Aptitude Test. B.Des course has intake of 30 students admission in this course is quit tough. For applying in college minimum 50% marks in HSC and NMIMS-DAT score is compulsory. After the exam there is Portfolio Presentation and Interview for selection.
