The admission to the B.Tech course is based on the rank obtained in the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination (KEAM) conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala. Allotment to 95% seats of the annual intake is made by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE), Government of Kerala from the rank list of Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination conducted every year by Government of Kerala. In my opinion and according to stats, BTech CSE is the best branch in MEC Kochi. Placement is the highest in this branch over all other branches. A total of 416 offers were made and mostly in B.tech CSE branch. The average package in this branch is INR 7 LPA. The highest package offered is INR 35 LPA. You can choose this branch. Top companies that visited the campus were ZOHO Corporation, Schneider Electric, Rockwell Automation and many more.

Undoubtly TKM is also an good college but whenever it comes to MEC College that is Model Engineering College then generally it is considered to be an better option and founded to be a better one than TKM College. In the current year of 2022 the NIRF ranking MEC College is found to be the 3rd among engineering college in the Kerala State. On the other hand TKM was found to be 8th position in the NIRF ranking. The MEC offers a better placement than TKM colleges just because of its excellency of the students in the different fields. As per the record,  the highest packages offered to the TKM College is around INR 10 LPA but on the contrary MEC College offers the highest package of INR 30 LPA that makes it better from TKM College.

Established in 1989, Government Model Engineering College is known for its teaching methodology. The institute has over 100 faculty members, 1500 students and 50 supporting staff. MEC Kochi is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University and offers B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D programmes. MEC Kochi has been ranked 91 for Engineering. The full time fee of this UG Course is around INR 3 Lacs and it offers an average package INR 6.60 Lacs . 

MEC Kochi offers various courses in B.Tech and M.Tech. The minimum eligibility to get a seat in this college is 50% in 10th and 12th examinations from any board of education. Additionally the student has to appear and get a required cutoff ranks for particular branch they are selecting. There is mandatory of physics and mathematics in +2 level of education with more than 50% of marks.

The top course for MEC Kochi is CSE. Because the placement record is the best here. And the faculty is good compared to other universities. You get a better chance to show your out field with a technical field. If you have a better SGPA than you can get a chance to place in an internship on your 6th sem that can out class your knowledge. If you pursue you career here all the best to you. The college campus size is across 20 acres of land and it is one o the oldest instituiton in Kochi, Kerala.The college has a qualified faculty of over 125 members and has been ranked as 91 in Engineering (National) by The Week & 44 in Engineering (National) by Chronicle in 2019. This is a very good college for engineering students.

In today's education system the college's were collecting more fees from the students. Some private colleges are collecting too much which may not be affordable by a normal middle calss person so the scholarship system arrives. MEC KOCHI offers various M.Tech courses. The student has to secure a minimum of 50% in their 10th and +2 examinations and 6.5 CGPA in the previous examination they appeared like B.Tech or any other degree. This college also offers the specialisations in that field. The candidate can join this college by appearing in GATE with a suitable cutoff score. The rank of the candidate secured in the GATE examination is important.
