These NITs are not good in terms of placements. In my view, you son should get admission in a good deemed university.

Hi Yuvraj,
To get admission into NIT's one must qualify and secure a good rank enough in the JEE Mains exam.
There's no direct admission in any of the NIT's.
Even with the category, one must need to qualify JEE Mains.
8 years ago Can I get electrical or mechanical branch in NIT, Sikkim or NIT, Patna as I have got 121 marks in Mains 2017 and 11896 OBC rank?

From the view of last year closing ranks, I think you cannot get the mechanical or electrical branch in NIT-Patna and it is also hardly possible in NIT Sikkim. If your home state is Sikkim then you may get. For more queries, visit the link:
