The lowest package details for the recent placement is not out yet. However, the institute has disclosed the course-wise median package for the past three years of placements. From 2021 to 2023, an improving trend was observed in the BTech median package. On the other hand, the M.Tech median package has been fluctuating. For 2023, cut off was 34083 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in NIT Sikkim. The cutoff for 2023 is higher compare to the previous two years. in 2021 it was 30095 and in 2022 it was 25908.

• Candidates seeking admission at NIT Sikkim are required to complete the application form for the course-specific entrance exam. After appearing for the respective entrance exams, candidates have to apply for the counselling process for the final seat allotment.
• For its flagship BTech course, NIT Sikkim admits students with a valid JEE Main score and are allotted seats through JoSAA Counselling. Admission to M.Tech is done through GATE, followed by CCMT Counselling. Similarly for MSc admission, IIT JAM and CCMN Counselling are required. However, PhD admission requires to appear in the Institution entrance exam and PI. Additionally, NIT Sikkim conducts IAT (Institute Admission Test),  for admission to the left-over seats from the CCMN and CCMNT counselling for MSc/MTech.

Honestly giving the feedback and review of hostels in NIT Sikkim. It is not that good but it's okay. 

There are two hostels, one for B.Tech boys and one out od campus hostel for 1st year boys. The hostel rules and guidelines are strict. 5 persons stay in one room for boys with common bathrooms and toilets for 8 rooms each. 

For girls, the rules and regulations and regulations are much strictly followed as compared to boys. The accommodation is good for girls with 4 persons in a room. But as compared to boys, girls are privileged in NIT Sikkim. Moreover, at NIT Sikkim, you will learn to adopt this scenarios. First of all it will create problem or you might struggle but after that you will become habitual to it and you will have fun.

For the academic year 2021-2022, NIT Sikkim achieved an overall placement rate of 80.84%, and all its students secured internships in renowned organizations.
