Among all, the most competitive branches were B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, followed by B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, with the last round cutoff ranks of 31754 and 42422, respectively. Therefore, students aiming for admission to this course should aim to secure a rank of 84897, or preferably below, to increase their chances for admission at NIT Sikkim 2025. Please note, the mentioned ranks are for General category, All India quota, other categories will have different cutoff ranks. 

The opening and closing ranks for NIT Sikkim BTech 2025 vary according to categories, rounds, gender and specialisations. For the SC AI category BTech CSE 2025 opening rank was 3898, and the closing rank was 4088,  according to JoSSA counselling 6th round.  According to JoSSA last round for the All India category, the closing and opening ranks for this course were 5728 for female SC candidates. NIT Sikkim admission procedure for all the courses is different. Candidates have to apply via various national level entrance exam and central counselling to get admission into the institute. Find below NIT Sikkim admission process :

• Apply through accepted exam/ counselling.
• For its flagship BTech course, NIT Sikkim admits students with a valid JEE Main score and are allotted seats through JoSAA Counselling. Admission to M.Tech is done through GATE, followed by CCMT Counselling. Similarly for MSc admission, IIT JAM and CCMN Counselling are required. However, PhD admission requires to appear in the Institution entrance exam and PI. Additionally, NIT Sikkim conducts IAT (Institute Admission Test),  for admission to the left-over seats from the CCMN and CCMNT counselling for MSc/MTech.
• The cutoff for BTech, MTech, and MSc courses is released by the respective counselling bodies.The shortlisted candidates are then required to pay the admission fee to confirm their seats.

NIT Sikkim provides a wide range of academic programmes at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, These programs include Bachelor of Technology (BTech), Master of Technology (MTech), Master of Science (MSc), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), with various specialisations available in each programme.
