NIT Sikkim Admission and Application Process 2026
NIT Sikkim admission process is conducted on national level through entrance exam results. Candidates can register for entrance exams as well as following counselling rounds in online mode through their official portals. STEP 1: Registration for Entrance Exam and Counselling Rounds
Candidates will begin NIT Sikkim application process by registering to appear in their respective entrance exam. There are separate portals which have been created from where candidates can register their appearance for the chosen exam. Once results are declared, they will be published on these portals which can be accessed by loggin on with created credentials. After result declaration, counselling rounds will begin and candidates can begin applying to appear in them through their respective portals.

STEP 2: Counselling Round
During counselling rounds, candidates are required to fill in their choice regarding institute and course during registration. For admission into National Institute of Technology Sikkim, candidates must lock it as their choice along with a course offered by it. After choice filling, allocation of seat is conducted based on several factors which differ between counselling.
Candidates who are allotted a seat will be asked for payment of admission fees for confirmation. Once paid, candidates are issued an allottment letter which is required for final stage of admission at NIT Sikkim. This fees will be part of one-time payments which are charged during admission process from total NIT Sikkim fees.
STEP 3: Confirmation of Admission

NIT Sikkim offers M.Tech programmes with a duration for two years. M.Tech programme at NIT Sikkim is offered in five specialisations namely:
