Hello Archish, this is a pretty rare case where i got someone with the same name. Anyways coming to your doubt, i would suggest NMIMS over IIM Shillong. NMIMS scores over IIM S in almost all aspects, be it brand value, placements, alumni base, location or faculties.
NMIMS has been standing tall since 35 years compared to the 9 year old IIM S. When you compare Mumbai to Shillong, its pretty evident which location will have an advantage given that Mumbai is the commercial capital of the country. If you look at the placement history, NMIMS with its large batch strength is way ahead. Alums of NMIMS are spread all over the world. These should be the parameters which should be used when you compare between b-schools and NMIMS scores over IIM S. So my advice for you is to join NMIMS

As per last year's record the last merit number which converted was 1100. But this is not an absolute number and can change depending upon demand of NMIMS and also other colleges. Whether NMIMS will come out with a 3rd merit list or not is totally under discretion of the management and we do not get to know about that.

Hence we have a lot of corporate coming to our college almost every day for guest sessions or seminars. We have sessions on current trends going on in the country, various changes incorporated by big firms etc. These knowledge gaining sessions helps us prepare for the corporate world as well as the placement processes.
