According to the University of Mumbai, a candidate has to appear for three tests to be eligible for the admission to offered courses. These tests include: Written Test, Group Discussion, and Interview.
The passing marks for DCJ entrance exam is 150 marks (aggregate) in three tests. Candidates securing the passing marks will be considered eligible for admission to the Master's Degree Course in DCJ.

No, the DCJ 2026 entrance exam application form has not yet released. The University of Mumbai is expected to begin the registration process for the entrance exam in May/June 2026. Candidates planning to gain admission to M.A. courses in Journalism through DCJ entrance exam must submit their registration form, statement of purpose, and two testimonials before the deadline.

If you forgot your DCJ login password, follow these steps:
- Visit the official DCJ SAMARTH Portal.
- Click on 'Login'
- Enter your Registered Email ID.
- Click on 'Forgot Password? Click to Reset your Password'
- Enter you email ID once again, along with the given Captcha.
- Click on 'Send'. An OTP will be sent to your registered email ID.
- Enter the OTP and change your password.

According to the University of Mumbai SAMARTH Portal, a candidate can cancel his/her admission after their seat has been confirmed. However, the cancellation rules and refund policies are different for each college of the University of Mumbai. Candidates trying to cancel their admission are advised to contact the college directly for information regarding procedure and refund amount.

No, the University of Mumbai will release the datesheet for written test, group discussion, and interview at mu.ac.in. The DCJ 2026 registration process is expected to begin in May/June 2026.
Candidates planning to appear for the entrance exam for admission to MACJ and MAPR must submit the application form, along with their statement of purpose and two testimonials.

Yes, according to the official website, a candidate who has completed his/her Bachelors' degree from any other university can apply for DCJ entrance exam. However, the candidate must have studied from the university recognised by the University of Mumbai.

Before starting the DCJ entrance exam registration process, all aspiring candidates must keep their email ID and ABC Id number ready. While filling out the DCJ entrance exam application form, candidates are required to upload a scanned copy of the following documents in 10kb-500kb size:
- Passport size photo of candidate
- Signature
- Class 10th marksheet
- Class 12th marksheet
- Domicile certificate (if the candidate is from Maharashtra)
- Income certificate (if the candidate is from category)
- Caste certificate (if the candidate is from category)
- EWS certificate (if the candidate is from category)

If a candidate has paid the DCJ entrance registration fee and the money has been deducted from the account but is not reflected on the application page, they are advised to wait for 24 hours. If the successful transaction is still not reflected, candidates must keep the transaction receipt with them and contact the admission helpdesk or email support.
