  What is the scope of Fashion Design?

  A

  As a fashion designer, you have several avenues and opportunities. You can opt for a career in: 

  • export house
  • textile mill
  • manufacturing and processing companies that produce clothing, soft furnishings and other textile-based products
  • several large fashion and clothing retailers
  • design studios and consultancies
  • handloom cooperatives and buying agencies
  • You may even work as freelancer. And with good experience and contacts, you can eventually start your own business. 

  Salary of Fashion Designers:

  Salary depends on various parameters such as size of the organization, profile, qualification, experience etc. To give you a general idea;

  • A fresher can earn around Rs 15,000 to 20,000 per month.
  •  In export houses, experienced textile designers may draw Rs 25,000 to Rs 40,000 per month.
