The authority activated the UPSC IES 2026 application apply link on the official website at upsconline.nic.in. Candidates can apply via direct link provided on this page as well.

The UPSC IES 2025 Mains exam result is expected to be released in September 2025 or October first week. The commission has not yet announced the release date for the Mains result. The UPSC IES 2025 Mains exam was conducted on August 10.

The Commission will release the UPSC ESE 2026 Mains exam schedule on the official website at upsc.gov.in. Candidates who have will cleare the Prelims exam will be eligible to appear for the Mains exam on June 21, 2026. The schedule of the Mains exam once released will also be mentioned here:

It is advised to the candidates to focus on both Prelims and Mains syllabus rigorously. Understanding and mastering the content will not only enhance their understanding but also improve their chances of success in the examination. He or she should practice previous year papers and also go through the exam pattern properly. Practice mock test and improve accuracy.

No, the interview of UPSC IES exam is not qualifying in nature. The number of candidates to be summoned for Personality Test will be about twice the number of vacancies to be filled. The Personality Test will carry 200 marks (with no minimum qualifying marks). Marks obtained by the candidates in the Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination and Personality Test would determine their final ranking. Candidates will be allotted to the several services keeping in view their ranks in the examination and the preference expressed by them for the various services/posts as per the official notification.
