UPSC IES Scores

The UPSC IES 2025 Mains exam result is expected to be released in September 2025 or October first week. The commission has not yet announced the release date for the Mains result. The UPSC IES 2025 Mains exam was conducted on August 10. 

Candidates are advised to analyze the previous years' cutoff, as it is a part of effective preparation. It also provides insights into the difficulty level of the exam, trends, and also the exam pattern or question pattern. He or she should practice previous year papers and also go through the exam pattern properly. Practice mock test and improve accuracy. 

In a UPSC IES 2025 exam, candidates can aim for 420 plus total marks or higher (Prelims + Mains + Personality Test) as a General category candidate. It is advised for the candidates to follow a good strategy that will help to gain a strong performance in all three stages.

The UPSC ESE/IES 2025 cutoff is determined based on the difficulty level of the exam (prelims and mains), the number of vacancies, previous years' trends, and the overall performance of the candidates. The cutoff marks may vary slightly across categories and branches.

The Commission will release the UPSC IES 2025 cutoff marks along with the final result. It is expected that the IES 2025 cutoff marks will be released around October-November 2025.

The Union Public Service Commission released the UPSC IES 2024 result on November 22, 2024. The Commission selected 206 candidates against the notified vacancies of 251. Rohit Dhondge topped the IES 2024 exam.

The Commission also maintained a reserve list of 82 candidates. These candidates can be called later for the appointment purposes.

The Union Public Service Commission will release the UPSC ESE (IES) 2026 Prelims exam result on the official website. The Commission will conduct the IES 2026 prelims exam on February 8, 2026.

The Commission will release the UPSC IES cutoff 2026 online after the release of final result.

The Union Public Service Commission conducted the IES 2024 prelims exam on February 18, 2024. In the normal circumstances, the IES prelims result is releasd within a fortnight of the exam. The Commission was expected to release the IES 2024 result in the first week of March but the result was not released.

It is expected that the UPSC will be required to take approval of the Election Commission before the release of the IES result 2024. This is causing the delay in the IES 2024 result.
