Yes, some colleges like Sion Hospital and KEM college municipal colleges are reserved under special domicile or municipal quota for those students lying under the Maharashtra and Mumbai domicile. So basically, out of state students have less seat options there. Knowing the seat reservation quota before applying would have saved them a lot of confusion. Always check prospectus and official details.

You can spend INR 45 Lacs or even more for a medical seat, but you cannot buy a government seat. Genuine government seats are obtained only through merit-based counseling, and the fees are generally a few thousand to a few lakhs.

The cut offs differ from year to year on the basis of category, reservation and seat. Government cut offs are much more compared to private colleges. So rather than rumours think of the previous year's official cutoff list as it will give you an accurate idea.

Yes, there's no shortcut here. Every medical college in Gujarat, government or private, requires a valid NEET-UG score for admission, followed by registration through ACPUGMEC for counselling. So no matter how much money you're willing to spend, NEET qualification is non-negotiable.

Yes, there are many government medical colleges like B.J. Medical College Ahmedabad, Baroda Medical College, Baroda, Government Medical College, Surat charge only around INR 1 Lacs per year, for the entire MBBS course. This makes Gujarat one of the cheapest states in India to pursue a medical degree, provided you secure a government seat through NEET.

Candidates can get MBBS admission with 300 score in NEET to private medical colleges or deemed universities that accept such scores. With 300 NEET score, candidates cannot get admission to government MBBS colleges.
