The "better" course is a subjective choice. By the name, if you want to go into research, academia and PhD go for M.Sc. If you are more drawn towards the tech industry roles go for MTech. Note that the graduation degree you have determines if you're eligible for the M.Tech course or not. UG courses eligible for M.Tech courses are BE, BTech, BCA for some specializations, a 4 year BSc in a few specializations is also acceptable for MTech. Top M.Tech colleges require you to clear GATE exams.

Usually BSc graduates go for MSc. They do so to excel in a specialization. The MSc course can be perceived as more course-heavy than the BSc. It requires you to read for long hours, present projects, research papers, and appear for semester exams, etc. Make sure you go through the curriculum to know if the subjects resonate with you. To conclude this course is ideal for someone who has good reading and writing abilities when it comes to long academic material, someone who has good research skills, last but not the least one also needs to have attention to detail and a genuine interest in the chosen field of specialization.
