The Design test will be about one and half hours duration. It will test your ability to creatively and appropriately solve simple design problems. Importance is given to the following - Problem Analysis, Creativity, and Alternate Concepts, Justifications for your Solutions and Visual and Textual Presentation Skills. You need to bring your own drawing/writing aids such as pencils, brushes, colors, paints, etc. For the test.

Happy to help !!!,

If you are determined to get into CSE in any IIT then you should take a drop.
As your rank is also not good go get admission into any IITs, so you must have to do something either taking a drop or taking admission into some of the private colleges.

Dear Gelo, As far as I know, to get admission in B.Tech at IIT, you should have qualified for both JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. On the other hand, to get admission at LPU in B.Tech, you should have a minimum of 60% marks in the 12th class with mandatory subjects English Maths and Physics. Moreover, you have to either qualify for the LPU NEST exam or you should have a minimum of 85 percentile in JEE Mains exam. LPU offers B.Tech in various programmes such as CSE, EE, ECE, ME, CE, Automobile, Chemical, Aerospace, Biotechnology, etc. I recommended my cousin to do B.Tech from LPU itself. These are based on national level entrance examinations, such as the JEE Main. In a centralised counselling process carried out by the Joint Staff Assessment Authority, selected candidates take part. The number of seats shall be allocated on the basis of merit, choice selection and seat availability. For certain categories, a limited number of seats may be available.

Name change in 12th does not affect JEE IIT college admission, if you carry necessary proof of that name. If Name is not updated in 10th and 12 mark sheets-Legal affidavit for change of name during application & at time of admission. This affidavit, along with a gazette notification (if applicable) or newspaper publication will be an evidence for your name change. After you do this, make sure all your documents right from JEE application have the new name and nothing confuses during verification process.

Bibliophile,

Hello Vineet Verma,
You need to prepare well for the engineering entrance test of IITs "Joint Entrance exam." The exam happens in two levels. The first one is JEE Mains which you have to give in 2019. After qualifying it, you become eligible to give JEE Advanced 2019.
If you successfully qualify both the levels, you can get admission in IIT based on your rank.

Hello Sumavasu,
According to the previous year opening and closing ranks, your chances of getting an IIT are really low and for mechanical engineering you rank should be at least 5000-7000. So your chances are less. You can try it in the counselling.
Refer the link below to know the previous year opening and closing ranks:
