For last year, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering was 15208 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in IIT Jammu - Indian Institute of Technology.

If you are really getting admission in DTU then wait for next year for IITs. So, I suggest you to go and take admission as dropping one may lose another year if you are not getting it.

JEE exams are just tricky. Just clarify your concepts and then try. You will solve most of the previous year’s questions and in JEE advance you need to use many concepts in same questions.
To get a good NIT you must secure 170+ marks out of 360 and total marks vary in JEE advance but to acquire a seat score should be 130+. If questions are very difficult then 100+ is sufficient to get a seat.

Ritu, you can try for admission in private universities. You can not give JEE advance without appearing for JEE Mains.
These days we have so many good private universities too that are imparting quality education to the students around the world. They offer you admission on JEE scores/ tests conducted by them/ your marks in 12th. Some of these also offer good scholarships based on any one of the above mentioned admission criteria.
Check the websites of some good universities or call on their toll free no.s for more details.
Good luck.

According to my knowledge it depends on timings of the coaching institute. Self-study is most important, the timings of coaching institute should not be over heaping. If you are an average or above average student then study regularly and practice MCQs daily as per the education provided in the college.

This is a very new institute with only one batch, that has passed out. In the first batch of IIIT, Kota, 60% students were placed in campus placements while some are pursuing higher education and other interests. So, that's pretty good for a beginning and we're hoping these results to get even better with upcoming batches.
