It is unlikely that you will get admission into an M.Sc. Chemistry programme at IITs or NITs with 11 marks in the IIT JAM exam since the competition here is pretty high. Typically, cut-off scores are much higher for IITs and NITs, considering the category and institute. Different institutes such as IITs or NITs set their own cut off in the light of examination, applicants, and availability. One should always try to find out the institute wise cut off for each institutes of interest. Then there is also the second attempt of the examination where a higher score is guaranteed.

It is very hard, but if you score good marks in JEE Mains next year, you can get admission. You should score around 130 marks because if the paper easy then the cut-off will be around 120 or maybe more. If the paper is difficult, then, you can expect from 90 to 120 marks.

The simplest to understand is there is no lateral entry in IIIT but diploma be considered as equivalent to 12th if you have scored 75% and more in diploma you become eligible to appear for JEE entrance and subsequently to JEE advanced examination. Sr. Section Engr(Design),

Hi,
The GATE cut off is depends upon various factors as listed below and varies yearly and institute wise. The following factors will be considered during the preparation process of GATE cutoff for IITs and NITs:
1. Number of applicants for the specific course
2. Previous years cutoff trend
3. Difficulty level of the examination
4. Number of seats available for the course
Further the GATE score above 600 is good enough for getting admission in NITs, and IITs. In ECE branch.
