Hello Hemant
Its very Good you want yo go for IIT but for getting seat there is tuff.
You can start your GATE preparation from starting you last year or you can drop one year also if you are keen determined about getting admission in IIT. you have to get good marks in both B.tech and GATE for this.
All The Best
IISC bangalore also takes admission based on IITJAM. You may check the complete list on their website.

A good score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) generally means a score that allows you to get into a prestigious institute for higher studies or job.

A GATE score above 800+ is good for admission into top IITs like IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, etc.

A GATE score around 650 - 750 is good for admission to mid-tier IITs, like IIT Patna, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Bhilai, etc.

You can check the cutoffs but your chances are less.
No, it's not required. JEE Mains 2 paper only for get admission in nits in architecture. If you get admission in architecture in iits then you need to qualify for the AAT exam after JEE advance.
Hello Rantu,
Well, the cut-off seems to vary every year so we cannot predict the exact marks needed to get into any IIT's, however roughly you need around 150 marks in JEE Advanced to get any good branch in any IIT's if you belong to general category.

Here are some of the Top IITs and their popular specialisations for GATE aspirants -

IIT Madras - Best for Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, AI/ML

IIT Delhi - Best for CSE, ECE, and Power Engineering

IIT Bombay - Best for Data Science, AI, Chemical, and Aerospace

IIT Kanpur - Best for Electronics, Robotics, and Materials Science

IIT Kharagpur- Best for Civil, Mining, and Manufacturing Engineering

JEE Advanced cut-off for different categories is
General:128
OBC:115
Sc/St:65
These are qualifying score for which admission are subjected to IITs:

Check this branch and IIT college predictor.

Most IITs including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Guwahati, IIT Roorkee and IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, admit students to their MSc Physics programs through the Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM). JAM is the centralized entrance test for MSc programs at IITs and IISc. No individual IIT conducts its own separate entrance exam for MSc Physics admission instead all rely on JAM scores for candidate selection.

Obviously, you will get as your rank will be around 1000-1500. If you belong to OBC/SC/ST then you will get CSE in the top 5 IITs. In case of general category, you will get CSE in IIT Roorkee or IIT BHU or IIT Guwahati. But from this year, this trend may change. Best of luck!
Hello Dhruv,
As you want CSE in IIT then your JEE Advanced exam rank should be less than 4k as only then you can get admission in IIT for CSE branch.

Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements can fill out the application form by visiting the IIT-M official website (iitmandi.ac.in). Aspirants further need to take the entrance test conducted by the institute followed by a personal interview round. The weightage of the exam score is 60% and for the interview is 40%. Based on candidates' performance in both the selection rounds, seat allotment is carried out.
