For last year, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering was 2119 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology.

Admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) is highly competitive and the admission process is based on the candidate's JEE Advanced rank. However, admission to IIT Madras or any other IIT with a low JEE rank is unlikely, as the cutoff for admission is generally very high. That being said, it's important to remember that JEE rank is not the only factor that IITs consider during the admission process. Other factors such as academic performance, extracurricular activities, and achievements in related fields may also be taken into account. Additionally, some IITs offer other admission channels like the Direct Admission of Students... View more

Current Student- IIT, Kharagpur,

If you're a General category student, you need 75% marks aggregate in 4 subjects (PCM + language) in your 10+2 examination or be in the top 20 percentile if your board, whichever is lower, to be eligible for admission in IITs. For SC/ST students, the criteria is 65% marks.
