To get admission into IITs, you need to qualify JEE Mains and Advanced with a good rank. The number of seats are unpredictable as they may vary every year.
You need to apply for JEE counselling from <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="www.josaa.nic.in" style='word-wrap:break-word;'>www.josaa.nic.in</a>.

JEE or GATE are the exams you'll have to first opt for.

<p>Direct admission to an M.Sc. programme in IITs without an entrance exam like IIT JAM is generally not common, as IITs usually require candidates to clear the entrance exam for admission to their M.Sc. courses. Yes, you can appear for the IIT JEE exams after completing your 12th privately however the board has to be recognized one. To get admission in IIT you must of course clear the JEE Mains and Advanced.

Not only for CBSE, but also for all the other boards, the minimum percentage of marks required to get admission in NITs, IITs, etc. is 75%. So you need to have 75% or above in your board exams.

IITian can become a scientist in India and abroad easily. You can join IIT after completing class 12th through JEE Mains and JEE Advance. You can join IIT for M.Tech through GATE examination. You can join IIT after B.Sc by appearing in JAM examination.

To get admission into IITs for B.Arch, you need to write JEE Mains Paper 1 & 2. Then you need to clear JEE Advanced and after that, you should clear AAT (Architecture Aptitude Test) to get into IITs for B.Arch.
You can get NITs only with JEE Mains paper-2.
