IET-Lucknow is one of the most premium institutes for B.Tech. It is difficult to get admission in mechanical engineering in IET but you can go for other government colleges check the last year's cut-off, the opening and closing rank of the colleges and I think you will get admission in a government college.
Best of luck.

Better to give MAT once again as you would not like to have an average college which can provide you just a degree with uncertain job profile and 100% placement. You should know thing which comes easily is not worthy, so make yourself worthy with decent MAT score so that you can chase a few top tier I MAT which can provide you a secure job with good in hand salary.

Knowledge is meant to be shared,

IET-Lucknow is now on the top after HBTI has withdrawn itself from UPSEE in government colleges and after that KNIT-Sultanpur is the best option followed by Buldenkand University. These are the government institutes and in private, it is always fluctuating sometime ABES is on the top and sometimes JSS and AKG bag the top ranking.

You can use Shiksha rank predictor for getting rough knowledge about your rank. You must do hard work, because there is different cutoff for all category. The more you focus on your studies as well as concentrate the more marks you will get which increase the chances of getting the government college even through UPSEE. All the best
