Yes, students can get admission in IIT Mandi without JEE exam. But this is not applicable for the flagship BTech programme. For BTech admission at any IIT, students have to appear for JEE Main + Advanced exams. However, for the other programmes, such as MBA, MTech, BSc, etc., other exams are accepted.

Yes, rank below 5000 in JEE Advanced can provide you with a good chance of admission to IITs. While a rank within this range improves your chances, it does not guarantee admission. The final admission depends on various factors like the availability of seats in your preferred branch, category (general, OBC, SC/ST, etc.), and the choices made by other candidates.

Yes, there is a probability of getting admission in IIT Kanpur for BTech if your rank is around 5000. However, it will depend on the branch of engineering you are applying for B.Tech on which department your interested. Since, the cut offs keep changing for different departments from round to round, therefore better ranks definitely increases your chances of getting admission in IIT Kanpur.

Hello Shlok Singh,
In IIT Roorkee, the closing rank for general category students has been closing at about 2000 for electrical engineering and at about 4000 for mechanical engineering branches respectively. Of course, it all depends on perceptions of students and can swing either way this year or any year. Best wishes to you.

shivamchhirolya@gmail.com,

It totally depends on your stream of BE. If you are in mechanical, civil, electrical then your rank should be under 1200.
If your branch is electronics rank should be under 800, for CSE, IT the rank should be under 400.
The above-mentioned ranks are for general category.
