It is most unlikely that a candidate with OBC rank of 6000 in JEE Advanced will find admission in one of the brand IITs for a hot discipline such as electrical engineering or computer science. But in certain IITs, you can have hope in less popular disciplines such as environmental, civil, or metallurgical engineering. Which IIT it is and also the competition prevailing in the year you are taking the test will also make your chances of getting admitted.

For admissions this year, a new caste certificate after April 2018 will be deemed valid.

Unfortunately, with a preparatory rank of 100, you can not get directly admitted to any course at any IIT. ou would have to go through the preparatory course first and then wait for the subsequent year to potentially get admission, depending on your performance and available seats.

Hello Anu Sri,
The admission into IITs for any course is based on the JEE advanced exam only. So you need to clear JEE main and then JEE advanced with a good rank so that you can get a seat for biotechnology in IIT.
To get admission at Anna University, your board exam marks alone are considered and there is no entrance exam. Your cut off in PCB out of 200 is considered.

With an EWS category rank of 81,000 in JEE Mains, admission to IITs is not possible since they require clearing JEE Advanced, which has much stricter cutoffs. However, there's still a chance to secure a seat in NITs, IIITs, or GFTIs, though it may be challenging for top branches or highly sought-after NITs.

Here's what you can explore:

Lower-tier NITs or GFTIs: You might get branches like civil, mechanical, or other core fields in newer NITs or GFTIs.

State Quota<...
