Pilot with Air India,

Now that is a question which I think you should decide depending on your career choices. Cabin crew are considered the face of the airline. Because they spend the maximum amount of time with passengers and they also are responsible for maintaining safe environment. They are highly skilled and trained professionals who hold an important role in the safe operations of any and every flight. You've scored a decent percentage in class 12. Although to become a cabin crew only 50% is enough.

I am currently working into one of the reputed airlines. Cabin crew job is a very responsible job. Cabin crew needs to take care of the passenger safety and first aid. Various criteria to become cabin crew are set for a reason. Height factor is decided as in case of emergency situations, the cabin crew needs to reach the over head bins for the safety equipments. Similarly, all criteria have a valid reason. If you have positive or negative power, you can wear a lens as many airlines do approves it. I have the power of -7. 5 in both eyes. I wear contact lens during flight. I got all this guidance from the academy I studied from.

Hi Ramesh,
Cabin crew is made up of flight attendants as well as the purser, one who is typically a senior flight attendant but also has additional duties. Some airlines make a bigger deal about the purser and that this is a title or rank above "flight attendant". "Cabin Crew" is a generic term used to refer to all of the airplane's crew who are not working in the cockpit , I mean the "back in the cabin".
Air hostess is the term used to refer to the female cabin crew/Flight attendant.
As per the details given by you you are completely eligible for pursuing any course in Aviation.

You should be inspired the way Capt Ankur has responded to your query, I will differ slightly on this; your career as cabin crew may not go long unlike Air India cabin crew, I understand it is purely a show business if you can maintain your charm you are in demand. If you wish to take it as a career please be clear that you keep trying for alternate career options like management job in aviation, flight operations manager or flight dispatcher or SMS specialist which may secure your future and you may retain your position in same airline with seniority counted.
