If you want to become a civil engineer then you are advised to do class 12th with PCM and appear for engineering entrance examination. If you want to become a CA, you may do class 12th with commerce as a main subject.

Both the options are good. Being a commerce graduate, you can continue preparation for different competitive exams like Banking or SSC/private jobs in different financial companies. While being a B.Com + MBA, you can also get a jobs in government / private sectors.

Hi Abhishek,
You must decide this yourself. Canada being a finance center of the world, a B.Com and CPA will be more beneficial provided you have the interest and passion for finance, accounts, etc. If you are interested for a finance career then this is the course you should opt.
Students in the accounting and financial management (AFM), Biotechnology/CPA, and mathematics/CPA programs can combine their undergraduate studies with the Master of accounting (MAcc) graduate program to move directly to the CPA common final examination (CFE) after graduation.
Similarly, go through the BBA/BCS program and check the curriculum and decide which fi

Hi Navrattan, please clarify if you are referring to the diploma program. With the strong academic background you can actually look for Bachelor degree programs in the highly ranked universities.

ACCA is indeed a good certification globally. But, in Indian context, it is still struggling to be relevant primarily because of already established professional certifications like CA and CMA. ACCA provides good exposure in globally relevant areas like IFRS and US GAAP. But again, in India ACCA doesn't have strong base compared to its local counter parts. A local degree course such as MBA along with ACCA can be a good combination in India.
This is my personal opinion. You may research further or take an advice from a qualified ACCA regarding the scenario in India.
CIMA certification will give you a overall knowledge of accounting as thi

Hi,
Yes, you are eligible for bank exams because bank exam has only one criteria of completed graduation with any discipline from an authorized university.
IBPS conducts the CWE exam for public sector banks or RRB Banks for the post of clerk, PO, SO.
IBPS doesn't ask for the percentage, they only ask the candidate to be passed in graduation.
Apart than this, if banks conduct their own exam, they ask for a minimum percentage of 60%.

Yes, you can obviously pursue it but you need to learn every concept of accounting, tax, laws etc. from the scrap. I have seen 100s of commerce graduates not able to clear CA exam after 5-6 years. So, kindly research a bit before you make your decision because if you make a wrong decision here it will cost you your whole life. Think about it see if you can reach somewhere with your MCA career. What do you exactly want to do among working in corporate after MCA or CA by devoting a minimum of 3-4 years of your life. All the best.
