Dear,
For both, you need to complete 10+2 with PCM. There is a common feature if you know engineering, you can understand nuances of flying an aeroplane quickly and correctly. If you are interested in engineering then chose AE and if you are interested to handle the controls, pilot training is a good but expensive option.

Hello Rao,
There are plenty of job opportunities available for Aeronautical engineers. Of course, they may not be as high in number as for mechanical or electrical or computer engineer, but they are still enough. An aeronautical engineer can get a job in armed forces or ISRO or DRDO and also whenever the qualification mentioned is only graduation. However, the opportunity to work in the core Aeronautical field is much greater abroad as compared with India at least at the moment, but situation is likely to change for the better in future as more and more opportunities are opened in this field in India also.

Hello Raghavendra,
For getting a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from a foreign university, the best course of action is to go abroad for doing engineering. There is no point of getting admission in an engineering college in India. Though there are some colleges which do say in their prospectus that they have tie up with some foreign Universities and that the students will get a foreign degree after they complete 4 years of their engineering as for two years they will be sent abroad or spend abroad studying in the university with which they have tie up. But The authenticity of such institutes is always in doubt. Hence, the best opti

Hello,
Fundamentally speaking, aircraft maintenance engineering courses are divided into two schemes. One is the mechanical and second is avionics. Now with advent and the complexity of aircraft having increased these courses are now getting split into different courses but you need not worry at the moment about all this since these courses need to be approved by DGCA for you to get DGCA license and the opportunity to work on the aircraft. Best wishes.

Hello Nishant,
It is very nice to know your aim of becoming an aircraft maintenance engineer. Yes, Rajiv Gandhi Aviation Academy, even though it is mainly known for different courses of Pilots training, offers different courses for aircraft maintenance engineer also. They are in the stream of basically mechanical or avionics. Its 3 years course out of which two and half years will be utilized to give theoretical training and six months will be on job training on any of the aircraft or the facility that DGCA has approved. I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information.

Hello Vishnu,It is very nice to see from your query that you have not got bogged down by your B.Com and are still thinking of pursuing your ambition of becoming an aeronautical engineer. In India, perhaps, you have rightly guessed many universities and States have put an upper age limit and you would obviously be out of this range and hence you cannot pursue in India. In view of this, your decision to study abroad looks very sound, rational and well thought out. Congratulations for this. However going abroad for undergraduate studies is not as simple as it appears. There are many nuances to the whole scheme, besides the finance part of
