There are plenty of job opportunities available for Aeronautical engineers. Of course, they may not be as high in number as for mechanical or electrical or computer engineer, but they are still enough. An aeronautical engineer can get a job in armed forces or ISRO or DRDO and also whenever the qualification mentioned is only graduation. Fundamentally speaking, aircraft maintenance engineering courses are divided into two schemes. One is the mechanical and second is avionics. Now with advent and the complexity of aircraft having increased these courses are now getting split into different courses but you need not worry at the moment about all this since these courses need to be approved by DGCA for you to get DGCA license and the opportunity to work on the aircraft. Best wishes.

They are in the stream of basically mechanical or avionics. Its 3 years course out of which two and half years will be utilized to give theoretical training and six months will be on job training on any of the aircraft or the facility that DGCA has approved. I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information.
