Hello Gunjan,
It's nice to know that you are interested in doing your graduation in engineering. But depending on your state, it will be decided whether there will be LEET or not. Some states have it while others give admission based on marks of Diploma.
Best wishes.

Hello Vivek, Broadly speaking there are two streams of A.M.E. One is avionics and the other is mechanical. Yes, presently in India growth in this sector is about 25% and hence very good opportunities of employment with a nice salary.

Hello Onkar, It's a good query. Many students are unaware of the difference. Aeronautical Engineering:
It's a branch of engineering like civil, mechanical, electrical, etc. One learns about all relevant subjects and is then eligible to work in an aerospace company. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or A.M.E. It's a three year course leading B.Sc. After passing and also after obtaining liscence from DGCA, one can work in a civil aviation company to maintain aeroplanes.

Aeronautical Engineering is related to design and manufacturing in the aerospace industry and spacecraft industry while aircraft maintenance engineering is basically looking after an aircraft's maintenance and it's operations. Both are different fields and no comparison can be made.

In India, there are a few institutes which provide Bachelors in aeronautical engineering. So, I think you should go for IITs or maybe IISc, Bangalore.
