Even if this query is pretty old, it still has relevance today. I would advise students not to get frustrated by low scores. Keep on trying till all doors are not closed. Last door is perhaps called spot admission. Wait till this too gets exhausted.

It's not the issue of percentage in your 12th that will matter for admission here but what matters is your domicile. If you have domicile of Tamil Nadu then you can think of getting admission. But there are enough colleges in Bangalore itself offering Aeronautical engineering branch.

In India at the moment and in near future, jobs for aeronautical engineers are going to be rather limited. This is so since there are not many institutions who are working in this as the core area. In view of this, I will strongly recommend you to choose ECE.

The institute you are talking about is the variety of government/government aided. In all such institutes, admissions are normally restricted to the students domiciled in the state. Hence if you are domicile then only you will get admission.

The fee of aeronautical engineering branch as compared with other branches is almost same. The fees are decided by a committee in each state depending on facilities in the college. On an average, the fee is Rs. 50K per semester.
