Hello Dildi, Yes, a student can surely seek admission in M.Tech in Agricultural Engineering branch based on GATE score. But unfortunately unlike NEET, prospective students may have to appear for different exams other than GATE for admission. B.Sc in agriculture engineering & B.Tech in agriculture engineering as the name of the courses only suggest that one is a Science-oriented and the other is a technology oriented. Hence, these two are unique in their own way. The main job profiles after B.Sc in agriculture:

The main job profiles after B.Tech in agriculture engineering:

Hello Devanshu Joshi,
For doing any course at the post graduate level in IIM, a student needs to appear for CAT. In addition to this, for you to be eligible for post-graduation course in agribusiness the student needs to have Bachelor's or post graduate degree in a field related to agriculture if not then at least he should have an interest in the field of agriculture as defined by the institution. I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information about eligibility procedure, of admission, placements etc., complete details about this course. https://www.iima.ac.in/web/pgp-fabm/apply/how-to-applyBest wishes to you.

Evening/distance/online/part time engineering courses are not valid any more as per the latest supreme court verdict, hence, I would recommend you to join regular B.Tech course for better career prospects.

Hello Adil,
The jobs in the government sector in general are decreasing in almost every field. However there are enough opportunities in the private sector in agricultural engineering. With the governments aim of doubling farmer income I am sure agriculture engineers will have a great future in the days to come. On the other hand, being a graduate engineer you can think of pursuing civil services examination to become an IAS officer and serve the country.
Best wishes to you.
