Dear Aritra,
B.E. / B.Tech. (Biotechnology) has a varied field which has broad spectrum of Life Sciences but B.E. / B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) will be focused only in Agricultural Field, Technologies required for it, Techniques for be used for it. So, scope is narrowed only to it.

Yes, you can get admission in agriculture engineering, it does no matter whether you are from maths background as in engineering, maths is demanded and also in this you get to know about the agriculture field's applications in engineering.

Hello Aritra Chandra,
There are plenty of colleges offering this branch across breadth of India. But of course restrictions put in place by each state government applies and as a result issues of domicile and state government's CET will also come in. Of course deemed to be universities have their own exams and give admission on pan India basis. Hello Aritra Chandra,
I think maths is compulsory subject for joining any branch of engineering including agricultural engineering. If one has taken biology as additional subject, it is welcome but not mandatory.

To me, agricultural engineering is a better option than doing B.Pharma. Especially, in an agrarian country like India, agricultural engineering degree holders are in demand and after your B.Tech programme in this branch, I am sure you will get good job offers.

Hi, MBA in agriculture would be a better option. There are many food and agro-based companies do need managers for marketing and sales, so a student with knowledge in the field of agriculture will be an asset. Check the below link for MBA in agriculture-
