Agricultural Engineering

Bannari Amman Institute of Technology commenced Agriculture Engineering course in the year 2015. We have highly qualified, dedicated and motivated faculty and well-equipped laboratories. The Department has a fully mechanized farm and exclusive machinery training center and it has fully modernized Irrigation/Drainage Laboratory, Groundwater Laboratory and GIS Laboratory with the latest Soil Water Modeling Software. To impart the knowledge on crop cultivation aspects from SEED to harvest, the department has a 10 acres farm along with well-equipped soil Science, agriculture metrology and crop husbandry labs. We offer hands-on training for students from first year onwards on the latest agricultural engineering technologies. We provide number of short-term and value added courses with certification, which will be extremely handy for the students to enhance their knowledge in their field and to get placed in the core companies.
