If you compare B.Tech and B.Sc. in agriculture, definitely B.Tech in agriculture has lot more scope than B.Sc. as in B.Tech you will be going through lots of practical exposure and in B.Sc. you will be given lots of theory which you have to apply on the field, so it is better to learn through practice rather than to learn by theory.

For admission to IIM for MBA the UG course is not the criterion. You can do your graduation in any subject. For IIM you will have to give a separate exam (CAT). However, personally speaking I would advise to opt for CSE instead of agriculture engineering.
