The AILET merit list is released once the counselling begins. NLU Delhi releases the merit list as per the seats and vacancies. The first merit list is released in the last week of December or first week of January. The merit list notification can be checked at the NLU Delhi official website.

In AILET 2025, around 19,830 candidates registered for the BA LLB entrance test and 2648 students registered to appear for LLM programme entrance test. However, in AILET 2024, total 18,044 candidates registered for the BA LLB entrance test. The number of AILET 2024 LLM candidate was 1,866.

NLU Delhi will invite Foreign Nationals & OCI/PIO Category students for the AILET 2026 counselling process for admission to 5-year integrated BA LLB program through a separate notification, candidates will be invited to register online for the counselling online through the official website.

AILET 2026 counselling dates are yet to be announced. The counselling will take place tentatively in Januray or February once the exam is concluded. The official dates will be released on the AILET website.

Yes, AILET is one of the accepting exams for admission in LLB programme of Faculty of Law, MIT WPU. Besides, aspirants with a valid score in MH CET Law, PERA CET can also get admission. Candidates can also appear for MIT WPU CET conducted by the university for admission to LLB programme. Shortlisted candidates have to further pass the personal interaction round for admission.

NLU Delhi cutoff 2025 for admission to the LLM course has been released across multiple spcecialisations as opening and closing ranks. During the release of the third cutoff list, the closing rank for the LLM course was 45 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. In the first round, the cutoff rank was 41. So, considering the cutoff ranks upto three rounds for LLM, it is advisable to target a rank up upto 45 and lower to improve your chance of getting admission at NLU Delhi.

AILET is generally tougher than CLAT due to its higher competition and limited seats. CLAT offers around 3,000 seats across 24 NLUs, while AILET is exclusively for NLU Delhi with only ~120 seats, making the acceptance rate much lower. Additionally, AILET has 150 questions in 90 minutes, requiring faster problem-solving, whereas CLAT has 120 questions in 120 minutes. AILET also lacks a Legal Reasoning section, making English and Logical Reasoning more challenging. However, CLAT's passage-based format tests comprehension depth. Overall, AILET is tougher due to time constraints and high competition.

AILET exam is centre based pen and paper based and conducted for the duration of 120 minutes. The medium of exam is English and it will be a MCQ type exam. The exam will be conducted for 150 marks and there will be negative marking for each wrong answer.
