Earlier, Amrita used to conduct their own entrance exams known as Amrita Entrance Examinations - Engineering (AEEE) for admission of BE. But later on starting from academic year 2021-2022, they decided to consider JEE Mains scores for admissions to its B.E. programs.
Candidates are required to qualify in the JEE Main examination and meet the cutoff set by the university for eligibility. Food is something which is a common issue in initial days, irrespective of the fact whether you are from North or South, but after a month you will get used to it and start liking it.
Breakfast - Idli, Dosa, Pongal, Upma, Milk, Tea, Pasta, and jam bread.
Lunch - sambar (which is so watery), with rice, and chapati and some gravy or side dishes for that. On Sundays, it's always Briyani
Dinner - Tomato rice/lemon rice, chapati, and some gravy having soya bean/tomato/potato and other vegetables. Once in a week you can expect to get maggie in dinner.
