To get a seat in Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, you've to score a minimum of 60% in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and 55% in each of these subjects. Amrita has a total of 30% of the seats reserved for JEE, and one should atleast score 90% or more to get admission in Computer Science Engineering, and for all other branches, it varies according to the number of students applied and the total number of seats available for that particular course.

First of all, you should familarize with the college campus and the atmosphere over there. Then the next thing you can, is to connect and mingle with seniors and before all, the teachers and faculties. There will be an orientationprogrammefor atleat a week after the beginning of the course where they won't teach anything, but we can utilise that time for familarising with everyone and everything over the campus. It is so crucial to take care of ourselves as a college life can be demanding. We can have nutritious food, exercise daily and also have a sufficient sleep. Food is something which is a common issue in initial days, irrespective of the fact whether you are from North or South, but after a month you will get used to it and start liking it.

Breakfast - Idli, Dosa, Pongal, Upma, Milk, Tea, Pasta, and jam bread.

Lunch - sambar (which is so watery), with rice, and chapati and some gravy or side dishes for that. On Sundays, it's always Briyani

Dinner - Tomato rice/lemon rice, chapati, and some gravy having soya bean/tomato/potato and other vegetables. Once in a week you can expect to get maggie in dinner.
