There is no pass or fail in internals in Amrita College. If the students get less marks in internals then they should work hard and get more marks in end semester exams.The internals and end semester weightage would be 50:50 for theory subjects. 60:40, 70:30 like wise. These ratio of internals for a particular subject will be different from each subject. The ratio of internals and end semester will be decided by the subject mentors. So if the students get less marks in internals they should get more marks in end semester. 12 branches are there in engineering stream in Amrita University Coimbatore. Engineering branch strength would be between 1500 and 2000. Total campus strength of students would be 3500 to 4000. CSE strength would be between 420 to 500. Civil engineering strength will be less than 100. Mechanical engineering strength will be 150 to 200 and other branches would be 800 to 900 combinely. This is the estimation of strength every year mostly.

The tris for the first year student year students are:

  • First year students should score their 1st year end semester exams with very good CGPA such as 8 CGPA as next semester onwards subjects may be little difficult and hard to score more than 8 CGPA.
  • As they are 1st year subjects students may be familiar with most of the 12th class subjects.

The college life will be good in Amrita college. Students have gyms, sports grounds and many other facilities in the college. Events will be conducted in the college frequently.

The environment in the campus will be very fresh and there will be greenery and students can walk peacefully. Good culture is also maintained in the campus. 

The placements are very good and guaranteed.The academics are very good in the campus.Placements with decent package is guaranteed for the students.

The hostels and PGs that are closer to university are ARR Boys hostel, Sibi residence boys hostel, Punnassery nest ladies hostel, princess ladies hostel these are in the raduius of 5km from college. 

The rented houses are also available to students near the college in the village.Students can stay there.

Unless there is strong reason students cannot stay outside the college, but above mentioned hostels are the hostels near the college.

College buses will be there to different routes and students can take hostels based on the bus routes to make it easy.

  • The difficult level of the questions asked in the end semester exams and mid term exams are above medium difficult level.
  • The level will be between medium and hard. If the student studies diligently everyday then student can score atleast 70-75% in exams and rest of the paper is hard and application oriented. 
  • Maintaining over 7 CGPA is respectable mark that can be attended at many companies.
  • Many companies interviews can be attended above 7 CGPA as it is a good score. 8 CGPA is very challenging score.

To get a seat in Amritapuri, you've to score a minimum of 60% in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and 55% in each of these subjects. Amrita has a total of 30% of the seats reserved for JEE, and one should atleast score 90% or more to get admission in Computer Science Engineering, and for all other branches, it varies according to the number of students applied and the total number of seats available for that particular course.

To get CSE in any of the campuses of Amrita University, you need to score around 97to 99 percentile in JEE Mains to get admission in top branches in Amrita. Similarly, in order to get CSE through AEEE you have to score at least 96 to 97 percentile score to get CSE in Amrita University.
