To pursue a degree in anesthesia after completing a B.Sc. In Nursing, you would typically need to complete a master's degree in anesthesia, such as a Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia (MSNA) or a Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) degree. You may also consider becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by completing an accredited nurse anesthesia programme and passing the National Certification Examination (NCE). The steps you would need to follow to become a nurse anesthetist would depend on the country you are in. Generally the steps are:
Obtain a B.Sc. In Nursing degree and become a registered nurse (RN)
Obtain at least one year of critical care experience as an RN. Enroll in an accredited nurse anesthesia programme, which typically takes 2-3 years to complete
Pass the National Certification Examination (NCE) to become a CRNA
Obtain a state license to practice as a nurse anesthetist.

Diploma in Anaesthesia is a 2-year undergraduate programme that applicants can pursue after finishing their high school education. The curriculum of the programme has been designed to offer training and understanding of anaesthesia and administer dosages of the same to patients according to the severity and type of illness or procedure. The minimum eligibility criteria for Diploma in Anaesthesia is a high school passing Certificate with at least 45% aggregate marks. There is no specific entrance test for this degree course. The Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, offers admission to the MS program in general surgery on the basis of the INI CET exam. If you want to apply to this college, you have to fulfill the following requirements:
1. You must hold an MBBS degree from a university accredited by the National Medical Commission or the Medical Council of India.
2. You must have scored 55 percent in MBBS.
3. You are registered with the medical registration council.
4. You are qualified for the INI CET exam, for which you also need to have a "NOC" from the Indian government.
