Yes, you can get a scholarship through LPUNEST for Animation programs, provided you meet the eligibility criteria and secure a good score in the exam. The scholarship amount depends on your LPUNEST performance and the admission schedule you apply under. My suggestion is to prepare well for the test because a better score can increase your chances of getting a higher scholarship, making the programme much more affordable.

No, hostel fees are not included in the animation course fees at LPU — they're charged separately. The tuition/program fee (for B.Des Animation & VFX, around ₹11.6 Lakhs for the full course as per 2026 rates) only covers your academic costs, while hostel accommodation is billed on top of that, ranging anywhere from ₹70,000 to ₹2,00,000 per year depending on room type (shared/AC/non-AC/single-seater). On top of hostel, mess charges are also separate, typically ₹40,000-₹56,000 per year depending on the meal plan you choose.

Being a student of LPU and as per my experience at LPU, I must say yes,  LPU provides rendering labs for animation and multimedia students.

These labs have high-performance computers and the latest animation software to help students create 2D/3D animations, visual effects (VFX), graphics, and other creative projects.

The standard B.Sc. in Animation and VFX Design at LPU spans 6 semesters over 3 years. If you opt for their more comprehensive B.Design in Animation and VFX, it covers 8 semesters across 4 years. Whichever path you choose, LPU frames the curriculum beautifully into a semester-by-semester layout to ensure you smoothly transition from core drawing fundamentals straight into advanced industry-standard studio production.

I think Chandigarh University is great for students who want to study Animation. They teach us to be creative and also learn the side of Animation. The Animation programme at Chandigarh University covers topics. We learn about storytelling and designing characters for Animation. They also teach us about concept art and how to share our ideas effectively for Animation. While studying at Chandigarh University we get to use industry tools like Maya, Blender, Unreal Engine and Adobe software for Animation.
