Shantaben Manubhai Patel School of Studies & Research Architecture & Interior Design (SMAID), was established in 2012 as an affiliated institute to SPU, Vallabh Vidyanagar. The institute provides a wide range of architecture and interior design undergraduate and graduate courses. Merit-based admission to the SMAID is determined in addition to entrance exam results. Furthermore, SMAID offers good infrastructure with state of art facilities to give students the best possible environment. In addition, the SMAID faculty members have extensive expertise and are graduates of recognised universities. The scores of the candidates in NATA entrance exam determines their admission to the B.Arch programme at SMAID.

SMAID, CVM University offer entrance-based and merit-based admissions. To shortlist the pool of applicants for a particular course, the institute administers an aptitude test. The NATA and GUJCET are two more entrance tests. For particular programmes, the student might proceed with the admissions procedure via ACPC. SMAID admissions are carried out for students each year based on the cutoff that SMAID has announced. For the course Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) in the years 2022 and 2023, the GUJCET Last Round Closing Rank (General-Home State) is 200172 and 10275.5, respectively. 

A Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree programme is available at the undergraduate level at Shantaben Manubhai Patel School of Studies & Research in Architecture and Interior Design (SMAID). The fundamental requirements for admission to SMAID's B.Arch programme are that candidates must have scored 50% in their 10+2 coursework with mathematics, chemistry, and physics from any accredited board. Candidates who have passed the NIOS (10+2) *with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (*Foundation certificate courses, held at the Institute level) are also eligible, according to an additional alternative criterion. Candidates who graduated from an accredited university with mathematics as a compulsory subject for their 10+3 Diploma should have scored 50%.

Shantaben Manubhai Patel School of Studies & Research in Architecture and Interior Design SMAID offers an UG level Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree course. The duration of the course is 5 years (Full Time). The basic eligibility criteria for joining B.Arch at SMAID is that the candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as Compulsory Subject with 50% marks from any recognised board. Another alternate criteria is that candidates who have passed NIOS (10+2) *with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (*Foundation certificate courses, conducted at the Institute level) are also eligible. Candidate who have passed 10+3 Diploma with mathematics as compulsory subject with 50% marks from recognised university can also apply.
