B.Arch is a 5 year professional degree course. One can go for a job after B.Arch for a good experience or can start own consultancy firm (firm needs experience which one can get only after job). Council of Architecture (COA) India provides license for practicing as an architect. 'Generally' there are no placements in B.Arch but in no way it means architects are jobless. They have plenty of options to earn as assistant architect in good firms under reputed architects or start their own firm in any city. Architects build their own name, have their own individual identity, and they are their own Boss. It is just like doctors, do they go for placements? Obviously no. But they do their own practice, or as consultant in hospitals etc.

The National Institutes of Technology is one of the most prestigious colleges in India. SPA, JJ School of Architecture, CEPT, etc. Are other good architecture colleges in India. However, you might find that the work culture and environment at a school of architecture and design are drastically different from those at the National Institute of Technology. Technical subjects are taught in a very good technical environment at the National Institutes of Technology, which is crucial to honing your technical skills and practical knowledge of building in addition to aesthetics. Parametric architecture has brought a great deal of change to the architecture profession. Engineering students in India are increasing year after year, but the lower number of architecture students is actually a benefit. Choosing a branch or course depends on your interest or passion, so I recommend choosing according to your interest. Architect salary in India ranges between INR 3.0 LPA to INR 40.0 LPA with an average annual salary of INR 19.1 LPA. Engineer salary in India ranges between INR 2.4 LPA to INR 10.3 LPA with an average annual salary of INR 4.1 LPA. I hope this will help you.
