According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework 2023, BMS College of Architecture has been ranked 21st among the top architecture institutes in India. The institute was at rank 18 in 2022 as given by NIRF ranking 2022.

BMS College Of Architecture - (BMSCA) Bangalore is accepting NATA and JEE Main paper-2 scores for B.Arch admission. 50% each weightage will be given to entrance and qualifying exams in preparation of merit list. The JEE Main Paper-2 score above 92 percentile can be good enough for admission here. With 65 percentile it is not possible to get in the college .

The qualifying marks for B.Arch admission through JEE Main can vary from year to year and from college to college. Generally, candidates need to score a minimum percentage of marks in their 12th-grade board exams, typically around 50% with mathematics as a compulsory subject. The basic eligibility criteria for the courses is a 10 + 2. All admissions are based on merit in the qualifying examination.

BMS College of Architecture B.Arch accepts one more exam other than JEE. Additionally, candidates need to have appeared and passed an aptitude test in architecture, which is "NATA" conducted by the Council of Architecture.

The admissions to UG courses are granted on the basis of COMEDK, the admissions to MBA and MCA are granted on the basis of KMAT, and the admissions to M.Tech. and M.Arch courses are granted on the basis of PGCET. Any relaxation in academic eligibility is extended only to Karnataka candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes.
The counseling is only done in one round
