No candidate shall be admitted to architecture course unless he has passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with at least 50 percent aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also at least 50 per cent. Marks (45 per cent marks for reserved category) in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50 percent marks in aggregate. The candidate needs to qualify an Aptitude Test in Architecture conducted by the Council complying with the Admission Norms, which is the National Aptitude Test in Architecture NATA or JEE Paper 2, varying from college to college.

Global market, especially in the USA, Australia and Dubai provide attractive career and jobs for architecture graduates. Architects are demanded in various government and private organisations. Government Organisations offer jobs to the B.Arch Candidates such as Archaeological Department, National Building Organisation, Ministry of Defence, Departments of Railways, Housing and Urban Development Corporation, Urban Planning, Public Works Department, etc. Some other organisations also hire architects are: Builders, State Departments, Consultants, Local Bodies for construction works, Architecture Firms, etc. In construction companies, they are working as a Designer, Interior Designers, Product Designers, etc. You can also work with an architectural firm or under the supervision of a well-established architect. As Architecture is a creative branch, lot many creative field are open for Architects like, Industrial design, Set Design, Vaastu Consultant, Environment Specialist, etc. !
