You should apply in the private universities otherwise you will have to wait for one more year to get admission. But, apply very soon because most of the colleges have finished admission procedure.

NATA is more demanding for admission in the B.Arch programme as most of the colleges accept NATA score only for admission whereas JEE Main Paper 2 is acceptable only in some colleges falling Under JOSAA. NATA is the official entrance for Architecture which is valid all over India, so will advise you to go for NATA.
