From my personal experience, placements in automobile engineering at Chandigarh University are definitely encouraging. The university has tie-ups with companies like Royal Enfield, TVS, Hyundai, and MG Motors, and I've seen friends get into some of these names straight from campus. What makes it special is how CU trains you before placements – workshops, internships, and constant guidance from the career cell really prepare you. Even students who wanted to explore new areas like electric vehicles found opportunities through CU's industry connections. The selection criteria for BTech Automobile Engineering include both Class 12 merit and valid entrance exam scores. No doubt various top Automobile Engineering colleges ask for valid entrance exam scores with competitive cutoffs but you will find several colleges offering admission on the basis of Class 12 board exam marks.

In the case of merit-based admissions, colleges usually conduct extra rounds like the GD/PI, following which merit lists and counseling rounds take place. To get more clarity on the selection criteria at your preferred colleges, you should check their official websites or get in touch with the college helpdesk.

This cannot be said with any certainty because each college has its own guidelines for Automobile Engineering admission. But in general, it can easily take up to around 4 to 6 months for you to grab a seat at your desired college because of the formalities involved like the college application process, entrance exams (if applicable), results, merit lists, college counseling, seat allotment, fee payment, and admission confirmation.
